Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe Plus is a follow up to a platformer series that already had several iterations. This version adds more levels and tweaks existing ones while keeping the core loop of guiding a small creature through a dense forest filled with hazards. Players jump over obstacles and solve simple puzzles in a side scrolling format. The co op mode lets two players work together to progress. The controls feel tight and the environments have a consistent art style that doesn't draw too much attention to itself. The game's biggest draw is its co op mechanics. Partners can trigger switches or clear paths for each other in ways that make teamwork feel necessary. Chubby Pixel has a knack for making quirky characters that stick around in your mind. While the level design isn't impressive it's solid enough to keep things going. The price point makes it an easy pick for fans of the genre who want a low stakes challenge.
