Wordlase is a word-puzzle game that challenges you to build new words from the letters of a given word. Each round presents a target word, and you must split it into smaller valid words using all available letters. For instance if given "interpolation" you might form "ant" "potion" and "lion" but "mol" wouldn't work because the letters don't match. The game runs on PC and Linux and plays like a digital version of an anagram-based solo challenge with no time pressure. The simplicity of the concept makes it easy to pick up but harder to master especially as longer words introduce more possible combinations. Since its 2017 release it's remained a niche favorite for players who enjoy mental exercises without flashy visuals. With no multiplayer or story elements it sticks to its core appeal as a straightforward wordplay tool that feels more like a brain teaser than a traditional game.
