World of Darkness launched as a massive online role-playing game built on the dark vampire lore of Vampire: The Masquerade. CCP developed this title to let players navigate a hidden society of supernatural beings while tackling moral dilemmas and social intrigue. You would create a character, join a clan, and interact with thousands of others in a persistent digital world filled with politics and danger. The gameplay focused heavily on narrative choices and community building rather than traditional combat systems alone. Despite its promising start, the project faced serious hurdles during development and officially shut down in April 2014. Community feedback at the time highlighted strong interest in the setting but noted that the game never fully reached its potential scope before cancellation. No player ratings or extensive data exist for the final product since it never launched to a wide audience. The title remains a notable footnote in CCP history alongside their successful Eve Online franchise.
