Wrestle Kingdom lets you design a wrestler and climb the ranks in a pro wrestling world. Choose moves, customize gear, and take on opponents in matches that blend action with strategy. Single-player modes let you build a career while multiplayer and split-screen options let you challenge friends locally. The controls are straightforward but require timing for special moves and submission holds. Released in 2005, it ran on PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 at launch. The split-screen mode and roster of licensed wrestlers were highlights for fans of the genre. While not as technically advanced as later entries in the wrestling space, it remains a solid pick for quick bouts and character creation.
