Wu Shi Hun is a 2D fighting game from 1995 that pits four samurai against each other in quick match-ups. The original version features Nakoruru, Ukyo, Haohmaru, and Charlotte, with a later update adding Jubei, Kyoshiro, Galford, and Wan-Fu. Players can go head-to-head in single or two-player modes, with the second version allowing both participants to choose from the expanded cast. Simple mechanics and fast-paced battles make it a straightforward but tense duel. The game’s split release history stands out, version differences mean some characters only appear in the updated edition. While it lacks the depth of later entries in the series, it’s a brisk, no-frills fighter with co-op that let friends team up or clash. Casual players and retro fighting fans might revisit it for the nostalgia, though its limited moveset and older graphics won’t impress newcomers.
