WWF Rage in the Cage is a 1993 Sega CD wrestling game that pits a roster of WWF superstars in brutal one-on-one matches. Players execute slams, submission holds, and high-impact moves to dominate opponents inside a steel ring. The single-player mode challenges you to rise through the ranks while the split-screen mode lets two wrestlers clash directly. Simple controls and fast-paced action make it accessible but rough around the edges. The game stands out for its early use of CD-ROM technology which allowed for better audio and some digitized animations for the time. While the roster is limited to major 90s stars like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, the split-screen mode remains a highlight for local multiplayer. As one of the first wrestling games on CD, it’s a relic of early 90s arcade-style brawling with a focus on raw power over polish.
