Konami’s X-Men is a beat ’em up from 1992 that lets players control six mutants including Wolverine Storm and Cyclops. You punch through hordes of enemies in side-scrolling levels using special moves tailored to each character. The game supports single player or co-op but its real claim to fame comes from the arcade version where up to six people could team up on one machine. This was a rarity in the genre and remains one of the few beat ’em ups to ever support six simultaneous players. Originally built for arcades it’s now playable on modern platforms though the multiplayer feature is limited to older versions. The 90s nostalgia and chaotic group play make it a cult pick for fans of old-school brawlers.
