Yasumeru by Facto is a minimalist adventure game where you play as Yasashi, a boy who wakes up in a small hillside home and spends his days wandering dreamlike environments. The core loop revolves around exploring shifting spaces and gathering effects that alter the world. Each time you sleep the game advances to a new time of day, morning becomes afternoon becomes night becomes dusk, resetting your surroundings while retaining collected items. Rain occasionally appears at wake-up, adding a subtle layer of unpredictability to the otherwise serene exploration. The charm lies in its quiet pacing and the way time and weather create impermanence. Though short and lacking explicit goals, the game rewards curiosity with abstract visuals and a contemplative mood. Released in 2015 it remains a cult favorite for its simple yet effective design. The PC version offers a stripped-down experience that feels more like a poetic mood board than a traditional game.
