Zen Rage lets you smash your way through digital chaos by turning your desktop into a playground for destruction. Choose from tools like chainsaws, hammers, and Tesla-coil rifles to shred backgrounds, icons, and everything in between. The single-player campaign adds structure, guiding you through tasks and mini-games led by a scientist whose deadpan instructions contrast with the mayhem. Each level builds toward a goofy, tonally whiplash twist that ties the nonsense together. The game thrives on balancing absurdity and focus. Freeform destruction modes let you rage-quit any task with a toolbox of over-the-top weapons while the campaign’s dry humor and escalating absurdity keep things from feeling too mindless. Though it leans heavily into nostalgia for 90s desktop antics, the execution feels fresh enough to justify its existence. Early access feedback suggests the twist earns its “zen” prefix with a mix of cringe and charm.
