Zero Point is a 15-minute virtual reality experience built for Oculus Rift DK-1 and DK-2 headsets. It unfolds as a 360-degree interactive story where players observe a tense exchange between two characters in a confined space. There's no traditional gameplay mechanics or objectives, just a fixed camera setup that lets you look around freely to catch details in the environment and dialogue. The focus is on atmosphere and perspective, with your view locked to the scene but able to shift attention as events unfold. The biggest draw is its experimental approach to VR storytelling. By removing player agency beyond where to look, it forces you to parse every visual cue and line of conversation for meaning. While short, it’s a polished example of how VR can create presence through simplicity. Reviews from 2014 note it’s more of a cinematic experiment than a game, but fans of narrative-driven VR curiosities might find it worth the brief runtime.
