Zombie Infection 2 is a top-down shooter that ramps up the action from its 2009 predecessor. You take control of Anderson, a survivor from the first game, as he heads to South America with a reporter to investigate a new zombie outbreak. The gameplay leans heavily into fast-paced combat with minimal survival mechanics, focusing on waves of enemies and quick gunplay. Three characters are available to play, each with distinct abilities, and the setting shifts between jungle outposts and urban ruins. The game's straightforward approach and repetitive missions make it a quick play for fans of arcade-style shooters. While the story is thin and the visuals show their age, it retains a cult following among mobile gaming veterans. Gameloft’s signature polish keeps the action tight, even if the zombie formula feels familiar by now. Short campaign and no online features limit long-term appeal, but it’s a decent time-killer for legacy mobile users.
Taking place a year after the events of the first game, it sees Anderson, the hero of the original zombie outbreak, go to South America with a reporter (Keysha) only to see the undead rise again. Both characters are playable as is a native called Jeremi. The setting and some of the locations are similar to the series' smartphone entry but it has an original story and different characters.
