Zool 2 is a side-scrolling platformer where you play as a gremlin ninja fighting to stop a plan that will turn the world into a dull, lifeless place. Your enemies are Krool and his goon Mental Block who want to erase creativity. You team up with Zooz, a red-suited ally, and your dog Zoon to jump, punch, and glide through levels packed with traps and enemies. The game runs on DOS and Amiga systems with tight controls and colorful visuals. It supports single-player or split-screen co-op for two players. The co-op feature lets friends share a screen and tackle levels together which was rare in 90s platformers. The game’s ending teases a sequel that never came but the levels themselves are praised for clever design and variety. While not a mainstream hit it built a small but devoted following. Some retro reviews highlight it as a fun pick for fans of 2D action.
