Zulu is a Commodore 64 action game where you guide Wyatt Hunter through a shifting maze filled with Zulu warriors and deadly traps. Your goal is to gather 100 Golden Masks while dodging enemies and avoiding hazards like fire traps and swinging axes. Shields can buy you a few seconds of safety but won’t solve the challenge. The core loop mixes fast reflexes and careful pathfinding to outlast each level’s threats. The maze layout and enemy patterns make for tense, replayable action. Players remember the increasing difficulty as mask counts rise, forcing you to balance speed with caution. Though released in 1984, its tight controls and escalating stakes hold up well in C64 retrospectives.
