Formely City Interactive Sp. z o.o., City Interactive undertook its initial public offering and became a public company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2007, changing to City Interactive S.A. In 2013 it was renamed as CI Games.
City Interactive S.A. is a Polish publisher and developer that operated from 2004 until 2011. They released exactly nine games, handling both publishing and development duties for every single one of them. All titles launched on PC via Microsoft Windows. The company focused heavily on the Shooter genre with five releases, followed by three Adventure games, two Simulators, and single entries in Puzzle and Strategy categories. The quality of their work shows a wide range, though the average rating across six rated titles sits at 52.4 out of 100. This score reflects a mixed portfolio rather than a consistently high or low standard. They have one great title that scored 80 or higher and one good game in the 60 to 79 range. However, they also produced two games rated as mixed and two that fell into the poor category below 40. Their best-rated release was Chronicles of Mystery: The Tree of Life from 2009, which earned an 80. Redneck Kentucky and the Next Generation Chickens followed with a 70 in 2007. Many of their later releases struggled to meet similar standards. Sniper: Art of Victory dropped to 34.2 in 2008. Two entries in their Chronicles of Mystery series received scores of 50, and the final game in that line released in April 2011 scored just 30. The Royal Marines Commando also landed at a 50 in late 2008. It is clear that while they achieved some highs early on, their output declined or stagnated as they moved through the decade. City Interactive was active for about seven years, publishing seven games during the 2000s and only two in the 2010s before ceasing activity under this name. Their history includes a transition from City Interactive Sp. z o.o. to becoming a public company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2007. They changed their legal structure to City Interactive S.A. that same year, and by 2013, the entity was renamed CI Games. Players browsing for their titles will find a small catalog dominated by shooters and adventure games, but they should be prepared for inconsistent quality across the library.
