Eversim

France Founded 2004 Website

Eversim specializes in creating simulation, strategy and role-playing network games. Its products are dedicated to public and to professionals of defense and security sectors for training and learning (serious gaming). The development of these innovative products is backed by such prestigious bodies as Bpifrance, the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA) and CNC. Eversim was founded in February 2004 by three partners: André and Louis-Marie Rocques and Pascal Einsweiler. The company is based in Lognes (Marne-La-Vallée) east of Paris and receives financial backing from a group of investors from Ile de France. Eversim’s founders have worked together for over twenty five years in the world of video games, and were around when the industry was in its infancy in the 1980’s. Between 1987 and 2003, they created, under the Silmarils label, more than thirty products for consoles and computers that were sold throughout the world. Eversim at a Glance

Eversim is a French publisher and developer founded in 2004 by three partners who have worked in the video game industry since the 1980s. Before starting Eversim, the team created over thirty products under the Silmarils label between 1987 and 2003. Their current catalog on PlayPile contains eleven titles, with nine released as a publisher and all eleven developed by them. The company focuses heavily on simulation and strategy games. They have released ten titles in these categories along with two indie games, one role-playing game, one turn-based strategy game, and one tactical game. Every single game listed for Eversim is available on PC, while only one title supports Mac. The company has been active from 2007 to 2024. Their output was small in the 2000s with two games. The 2010s saw their biggest period of activity with seven releases. The 2020s have only seen two titles so far. Despite this long history, the quality scores on PlayPile are generally low. The average IGDB rating across eight rated titles is 44.4 out of 100. There are no games in their catalog that received a great rating above 80. Only one game achieved a good score between 60 and 79, which is the 2022 title 4th Generation Warfare with a score of 70. Five games fall into the mixed range of 40 to 59, including Power & Revolution from 2016 and its 2019 edition, as well as The Race for the White House 2016. Two titles scored in the poor range below 40, such as Masters of the World: Geopolitical Simulator 3 from 2013. Eversim states on their bio that they specialize in simulation, strategy, and role-playing network games for defense and security sectors. Their work receives backing from organizations like Bpifrance and the Direction Générale de l’Armement. However, this serious gaming focus does not seem to result in high scores among general audiences. Recent releases include Geo-Political Simulator 5 in July 2024 and 4th Generation Warfare in July 2022. The pattern of ratings suggests that while they maintain a steady presence in niche strategy markets, their products rarely achieve critical acclaim beyond the mixed category.
