Fundamental Studios

Hi, I’m Phil Arnone, a game developer and artist. Fundamental Studios is essentially a one person studio, which means I handle most of the work end to end, including concept, writing, art direction, design, and development. When it makes sense, I also bring in small pieces of production, like select art support or music, under my direction. I like working this way because it keeps everything cohesive and intentional, with no committee, no trend chasing, and no filler. What I care about is simple: games should respect the player. I aim for experiences that reward attention, curiosity, and good judgment, games that don’t over-explain themselves or treat players like they need to be managed. If I’m doing my job right, you feel trusted while you play. Fundamental Studios is a solo development effort, but it is not a solo operation. My wife, Antonella, is a CPA and takes care of the business side, from LLC and paperwork to the accounting details that keep everything legitimate. I am lucky to have her support.
