Games are at our very hearts! Which is why we founded rokapublish in Gernsheim, Germany in 2008. While originally focussing on licensing casual games only, our creative team of developers soon began producing their own games for various genres.
rokapublish is a German company based in Gernsheim that launched its operations in 2008 but only released games between 2011 and 2019. The publisher has a small footprint on PlayPile with 16 titles total, split between 13 games they published and four they developed themselves. Their entire catalog belongs to the 2010s decade, so there is no data from other eras to show how their output evolved over time. They focused heavily on PC Microsoft Windows with 15 releases, while also supporting Mac, Linux, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox systems in much smaller numbers. The studio worked across a wide variety of genres without settling on one specific niche. Puzzle games made up the largest portion of their library with six titles, followed by five strategy games and three each for card and board games, simulators, and sports. They also touched on adventure, arcade, indie, turn-based strategy, and role-playing categories. This broad approach resulted in mixed results regarding quality. The average rating across their five rated titles sits at 58 out of 100. None of their games reached the great category of 80 or higher, while three titles earned good scores between 60 and 79. Two games fell into the mixed range of 40 to 59. Their most successful release was In Vitra in 2017, which achieved a 70 out of 100 rating. Zombie Solitaire from 2013 and Harvest life from 2017 both received solid 60-point scores. On the lower end, 3D Arcade Fishing and 3D Chess from 2016 tied for their lowest rated entries at 50 points each. The company released a steady stream of titles throughout their active years, including recent entries like 5 Star Miami Resort in mid-2019 and 5 Star Hawaii Resort in early 2018. Their bio states they started by licensing casual games before developing their own content, yet the data shows they remained active in the market for only eight years before stopping releases entirely.
