Ties Groen

Ties Groen (1998) is a Dutch interdisciplinary artist. Recurring themes at the heart of his work are loss, obscure horror, fading memories, desire, and self-knowledge. Through personal narratives and the universal dimension of his subjects, he strives to evoke these emotions in the viewer through video games, drawings, and poetry. He creates immersive and complex worlds, using abstract and surreal imagery, aiming to provoke a range of emotions in the viewer, often combining 3D and 2D techniques. In 2024, he graduated with honors from the St. Joost Academy of Art and Design with an experimental video game titled Symbiosis. He is currently working on his first game, SKINFACE, while also working as an artist at the video game studio Galaxy Grove.
