Undercoders at a Glance

Undercoders is a Spanish studio founded in 2006 in Barcelona. The team started with three engineers and has grown into an active developer and publisher over the last decade. You will find their work listed on almost every modern console, with the Nintendo Switch hosting the largest number of their titles at 11 games. PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One each carry nine or eight of their releases, showing a strong multi-platform approach. They have also released ports for Linux and Mac, though those numbers remain small compared to their main console output. The company split its focus between publishing three games and developing eleven others. Their catalog leans heavily toward indie and adventure genres, which appear in nine titles each. Platformers make up the next largest group with eight entries, while arcade and puzzle games round out the core list with four releases each. They have also touched music, shooter, RPG, and simulator categories, but these are single releases that do not define their overall strategy. Quality trends for Undercoders show a consistent pattern of average reception. Their 13 games on PlayPile include only four rated titles, all falling into the good range of 60 to 79 points. The average score sits at 66.2 out of 100. None of their games reached the great tier above 80, and none fell below 40. Their highest-rated work includes Conga Master Party! from 2017 with a score of 69.5, followed closely by Conga Master at 68.3. Infernium from 2018 holds a 65, while Retro Revengers, released in August 2023, sits at 62. These numbers suggest steady, middle-of-the-road performance rather than standout critical hits. Output has remained fairly stable across the last two decades. The studio released six games during the 2010s and seven titles so far in the 2020s. Recent activity shows a continued pace with Superola: Champion Edition in June 2022 and Treasures of the Aegean releases in late 2021. They are scheduled to release Denshattack! in June 2026, indicating plans for future development. While their bio promises unique and original games, the data shows a steady stream of competent titles that rarely break into the top tier of industry ratings.
