
Yosemite Entertainment was a short-lived Sierra On-Line development studio based in Oakhurst, California, established in Sierra's old headquarters as one of five new subsidiaries formed by Sierra as it moved to its new headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, in 1998. The studio was shuttered shortly after on February 22, 1999, along with several other Sierra development studios, in the reorganization and mass layoffs conducted by Sierra after its acquisition by French media firm Havas SA. Later that year, Codemasters purchased the Oakhurt building and hired on many of the former Sierra/Yosemite Entertainment personnel to form its new U.S. studio.
