50 Cent: Bulletproof casts you as the rapper turned vigilante seeking vengeance after a near-fatal ambush. Armed with guns and over 25 reversal moves, you navigate New York’s crime scene in a third-person shooter filled with shootouts and missions. Team up with G-Unit allies like Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo while figuring out a conspiracy tied to drug cartels and corrupt cops. The single-player story leans into over-the-top gangster theatrics, blending action with the game’s hip-hop soundtrack. The game stands out for its direct, no-frills approach to the genre. Real-life musicians voice supporting roles, including Eminem and Dr. Dre, adding a layer of star power. With co-op and versus modes, it offers multiplayer options for 2005’s consoles. Critics called it a forgettable entry in the 128-bit era, but fans of aggressive third-person shooters might appreciate the customizable playlists and over-the-top violence. Released on Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PSP, it remains a niche relic of early 2000s rap-infused gaming.
