Baldr Fist mixes top-down brawler combat with visual novel storytelling. You pick your responses in dialogue then switch to real time to punch enemies while the plot unfolds. Each choice alters the path through a sci-fi world where society crumbles but robot labor keeps daily life stable. Attacks and movements feel snappy with basic controls but limited combo depth. The branching narrative offers multiple endings though most play through just one path. Community guides suggest key decisions early affect late-game outcomes. Set two years before a related game’s events, it feels like a side story with its own closed-loop structure. Shorter than most 1999 action games but the hybrid format makes it memorable for niche fans.
...Once, the human society that evolved its civilization to the extreme of it's peak. However, at some point, it followed the path of slow decline, and by the time the 30th century was counted, it was about 1000 years ago. It had retreated to the same extent. Except for the fact that working robots called "GIGAS" supports all aspects of people's lives, they are living at the same level as they are today. Story takes place two years before "Baldrhead ~Busou Kin'yuu Gaiden~"
