Circadia is a first person RPG with point and click mechanics that blends school life with supernatural action. You play as Hiroki Katayama who inherits a strange creature companion after arriving in an underwater city. Choices you make shape relationships with 14 main characters determining which seven join the final battle. Voice acting brings key interactions to life while a mix of dialogue decisions and real time combat drive the story forward. The game alternates between high school routines and sudden clashes with otherworldly threats as Hiroki uncovers a plot to collapse reality. Released in 1999 this PlayStation era title stands out for its branching character dynamics and unusual setting. Community archives note its ambitious attempt to merge slice of life elements with epic stakes though its dated presentation may not appeal to modern players. The creature companion mechanic and school adventure hybrid approach make it a curiosity for fans of niche RPG experiments from the late 90s.
The game begins when Hiroki Katayama (the main character of the game) arrives an underwater city and as soon as his plane arrives at the airport he meet the spirit of a mysterious woman. After that he meets Yumi Asakura for the first time. A little later he meets his uncle and he takes him to his apartment. Since that day his life will change forever. When he arrives at his uncle apartment, at night he meet an strange creature that will be with him all the game, and tells him that the world is in danger of collapse and he must help him to save it. That creature show him the other world and a few minutes later when they return to the human world some strange creatures attacks him and the little creature provide him the power to destroy them. The next day he meets Yumi Asakura again and go with her to the high school and the adventure will start them.
