Devil Summoner Soul Hackers Intruder follows a group of supernatural fighters in a city plagued by new threats. Players alternate between story segments and tactical turn-based battles where demon allies execute commands in grid-based combat. Each demon has a special ability called a capacity that can shift the flow of a fight but only activates once per battle. The game leans heavily into managing team positions and exploiting enemy weaknesses while balancing resource use across encounters. The capacity system adds depth to combat by forcing strategic choices about when to deploy powerful but limited abilities. While the mobile-only release and dated visuals might not wow modern players, the tight mechanics and structured pacing earned it a 7.5 out of 10 on Japanese mobile game rankings at launch. Fans of calculated demon battles on handhelds might find it niche but satisfying.
