Dinosaur King is a card-based fighting game where players collect dinosaurs and special moves to battle opponents in turn-based showdowns. Each match uses a modified Rock, Paper, Scissors system where winning a round lets you strike. You build teams from prehistoric creatures and customize attacks with move cards. The story follows Max Taylor and his allies as they travel back in time to stop a group capturing dinosaurs. Single-player campaigns and local multiplayer modes keep the action going. The game stands out for its vibrant visuals and detailed dinosaur designs that reflect early 2000s scientific interpretations. Released in late 2005 for arcade cabinets, it blends strategy with fast-paced combat. While not a genre leader, it carved a niche with its quirky concept and layered mechanics. Players who enjoy tactical card systems and retro arcade vibes might find it memorable.
Max Taylor, his father Spike Taylor and Rex Owen found stone tablets on a fossil excavation site in Africa, the tablets suddenly bursts out voices of the past: Dinosaurs! They request that Max and Rex go back to the past to help them from the Alpha Gang who are capturing dinosaurs. Max and Rex used Dinosaurs and Move Cards and pushed back the Alpha Gang.
