Ffflood is a tower defense game that plays like an unfinished prototype. You build defenses to stop waves of enemies, but the systems feel underdeveloped. The controls are clunky and the enemy behavior is repetitive. Progression is slow and the limited tower options make each match feel similar. The game’s rough edges are obvious from the start. Vlambeer worked on this title for over a decade before releasing it in September 2020 as their final project. The studio shut down before adding major features or refining the core loop. Players note the lack of polish and sparse content, with some calling it a frustrating release. It exists as a direct look at a developer’s abandoned experiment rather than a finished experience.
