You play as a green mutant sprinting down a broken highway in a world that's already given up. Movement is simple, tap left or right to dodge craters mines and the various things that want you dead. Your only weapon is an automatic shooter that fires when enemies appear ahead. Kill them and collect their parts to upgrade your gun between runs. Every session is a race against chaos. Freeway Mutant nails the endless runner formula with its brutal no-pause action. The upgrade system adds a layer of strategy as you decide which parts to hoard and which to spend. With a top speed that only grows more terrifying and obstacles that pop up without warning it's easy to see why players keep chasing that next high score. Short bursts of play hide a deep grind for perfection.
