About

Gakkou wo Tsukurou!! Happy Days makes you the head of a school where every decision matters. Build classrooms, hire staff, and set rules while balancing budgets and student needs. Interactions with students affect morale and performance, requiring attention to both academic and social dynamics. Six principal roles let you approach leadership differently, from strict disciplinarian to hands-off mentor. Manage day-to-day operations like class schedules and facility upgrades to keep the school running smoothly. The game stands out for its detailed management systems and the weight of administrative choices. While the 2005 PS2 release shows some age, players appreciate the depth of customization and the focus on creating a functional learning environment. The Japanese school setting adds cultural context to routines like term schedules and holiday planning. With no online features or modern polish, it appeals to fans of old-school simulation games who enjoy methodical problem-solving over fast-paced action.

Storyline

A head teacher or school principal (also known as headteacher, headmaster, headmistress or the head, sometimes informally in Scots, the heidie or heedie) is the most senior teacher, leader and manager of a school. In the past, the headmaster or headmistress of a British private school was often the owner of the school or a member of the owning family, and the position often remained in the family for many generations. The school year in Japan begins in April and classes are held from Monday to either Friday or Saturday, depending on the school. The school year consists of two or three terms, which are separated by short holidays in spring and winter, and a six week long summer break.
