Gekitotsu Toma L'Arc pits customizable cars against each other in high-speed races with a side of Japanese rock. As a follow-up to TomaRunner, it adds new tracks and mechanics while letting players choose from characters tied to the popular band L'Arc-en-Ciel. Each character is voiced by their real-life counterpart and backed by their music. Five tracks from the band play throughout the game, blending racing action with their signature alternative sound. The game’s niche appeal helped it secure a second release under Sony’s budget PS One Books line in 2001. While racing depth is solid but not impressive, the band’s direct involvement and catchy soundtrack set it apart. Japan-only at launch, it catered to fans hungry for both speed and music. Single-player careers and split-screen multiplayer keep the experience varied, though online isn’t an option. A relic of early 2000s band-game collabs, it still holds charm for collectors and L'Arc enthusiasts.
The dream has finally become reality with the help of L'Arc en Ciel! Every fan must have this! And of course, there is fun to be had with this game. This summer, why don't you try the Tomarunner experience for yourself?
