This is a condensed version of Gran Turismo 3 released early in the PlayStation 2 era. It features a smaller but polished selection of real-world cars and tracks with the same high-stakes handling and physics that define the series. Players can race solo or compete locally through split-screen or multiplayer modes. The focus is on precision driving over spectacle with no frills beyond the core mechanics. It didn't launch in North America but appeared later as a limited Nissan-branded version. While not as expansive as later entries in the series it previewed the same careful attention to detail that made Gran Turismo a benchmark for racing games. Community archives show it remains a curiosity for collectors with many of its assets reused in later titles.
