Horace Goes Skiing is a platformer where you steer the title character through a traffic-packed road to rent skis, then ski down a treacherous course. The first half mimics Frogger as you dart between vehicles to reach the shop. After grabbing skis, you race to the finish, balancing speed and control. The straightforward yet demanding design tests reflexes, especially on 8-bit systems like the ZX Spectrum or Commodore 64. From 1982, the game blends genres and hit multiple 8-bit platforms. Not a direct sequel to Hungry Horace, it shares the character and developer. Its release on Spectrum, C64, and Dragon 32 gave it wide reach. Modern ports keep it accessible. Nostalgic players note its clever early hardware use and quirky premise. A brief but challenging trip for retro fans.
This title is not a true sequel, as it does not follow on from an original story and is only similar in that it features the same character.
