About Hypnosis Knight-Princess

Hypnosis Knight-Princess is a turn-based RPG set in the kingdom of Triss, where you play Gina, a future queen racing to break a demonic hypnosis curse. Kagura Games developed it for PC, releasing in August 2025. The story revolves around Gina’s brother Morgan and a demon named Lala, who manipulate the curse to force Gina into abdication. Your task is to craft tools like magic fragments and dispelling stones, perform exorcisms on hypnotized citizens, and battle enemies that drain resources. Progress unlocks new regions, dungeons, and bosses. It’s a narrative-driven strategy game with a focus on resource management and consequence-based storytelling.

Gameplay

Each session mixes crafting, exorcisms, and combat. You gather materials to create tools, which determine how quickly you can dispel the curse. Exorcisms take 10, 20 minutes per citizen, depleting time and mana. If you run out, you risk failing to save them. Enemies appear automatically during travel, forcing you into battles that cost HP and time. The game’s rhythm is slow but deliberate, you might spend 30, 45 minutes per region, balancing healing, crafting, and timed encounters. Boss fights scale with the number of citizens you’ve freed, requiring precise tool use. The interface is cluttered but functional, with real-time clocks ticking down as you plan your next move.

What Players Think

PlayPile community ratings average 7.2 out of 10, with 58% completing the game. Average playtime is 32 hours, though 23% of players quit before finishing due to slow pacing. Community moods lean hopeful (42%) and determined (33%), with 25% calling it “tedious.” Critics scored it 74/100, praising its unique curse mechanics but noting repetitive early-game loops. One review: “The time-pressure exorcisms feel fresh, but grinding for materials gets grating after 15 hours.” Achievements total 30, with the hardest (1.2% completion) requiring all citizens to be saved.

PlayPile's Take

This game suits RPG fans who enjoy planning over action, but its $29.99 price feels steep for the 32-hour average playtime. The hypnosis-passing mechanic adds stakes, but the grind for crafting materials and time management can feel punishing. If you like methodical resource puzzles and don’t mind slower pacing, it’s worth a try. Otherwise, skip it. The 58% completion rate suggests it’s a polarizing pick, rewarding persistence but not always rewarding enough to justify the effort.

Storyline

Gina is about to become queen of Triss... but not if her brother Morgan can help it! Morgan recruits the help of a demon, Lala, in order to hypnotize Gina so that she abdicates the throne. However, the demon curse has little effect on Gina, and Morgan is unable to make her relinquish the crown. Thus, they come up with a new plan to exploit another characteristic of the demon curse: if the curse is lifted from someone else, it will be passed to the one who lifted it and accumulate. With their new dastardly ploy in mind, they spread the curse across the kingdom, forcing Gina's hand to save her citizens and in turn take on the curse herself, falling prey to its hypnotizing power.
