Jet Moto swaps tires for hoverjets and asphalt for mixed terrain. Pilots race futuristic bikes that glide over land and water without breaking stride. Tracks force you to dart between checkpoints at opposite ends of each course, forcing head-to-head battles with oncoming rivals during every lap. Team-based races mix aggression and strategy as you block opponents while maintaining your own speed. Bikes wear bold 90s sponsor decals from actual brands, adding a retro commercial sheen to every collision. The suicide course design feels ahead of its time despite a 1996 release. With 1 player voting "Dark" for its chaotic energy, the game thrives on brutal mid-race confrontations. It lives on through ports on PlayStation 3 and Android alongside original PlayStation versions. Checkpoints force tense reversals as you reroute paths mid-lap. While not a simulation, the physics balance arcade freedom with hover-specific handling quirks. The split-screen mode still works surprisingly well on modern hardware.
