LittleBigPlanet 2: Collector's Edition is a sequel that blends platforming and puzzle-solving as Sackboy battles the Negativitron, a machine draining life from his world. Team up or play solo to navigate levels filled with physics-based challenges and creative gadgets. The Collector's Edition expands on the base game with region-specific bonuses. North American buyers get a 7-inch Sackboy plushie, five PSN avatars, and in-game costumes. Europe and Australia offer SteelBook packaging, eleven digital outfits, and retailer-exclusive items like Jak and Daxter themes. A UK bundle pairs the game with a 320GB PS3 and controller. All editions sold in limited runs, with differences in art and included content. Released February 2011 for PS3, it retains the original’s charm while adding collector-focused perks.

Storyline

Players continue Sackboy's journey after the events of the first game and the portable version are brought to an end. An inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner called the Negativitron appears over the skies of LittleBigPlanet and begins to suck up its inhabitants, including Sackboy. Larry Da Vinci, the leader of a group known as "The Alliance", comes to Sackboy's rescue - saving him from the Negativitron. The organisation is dedicated to battling with the Negativitron and defeating it before it destroys Craftworld entirely.
