Mickey Mania 2 never saw the light of day as a finished product, but a prototype exists for this unannounced sequel. Developer Traveller's Tales planned it to follow the formula of the original game with stages drawn from classic Mickey Mouse cartoons. Footage shows off a wild west level and a ship stage based on 1934 shorts like Two-Gun Mickey. The build also included a scrolling floor and a first-person section that mocked Doom with a placeholder heads-up display before the project got scrapped. The team killed the game to focus on the console version of Toy Story instead. Some of the cancelled features, such as the first-person view, ended up in that later release. This prototype gives us a look at what could have been a fun adventure filled with nostalgic references. It remains a piece of gaming history rather than a playable title you can buy today.
