Miku Flick 02 is a rhythm game where players tap and flick tiles arranged in a 3x3 grid to match lyrics displayed in hiragana. Following the mechanics of its 2010 predecessor, the sequel adds more vocaloid characters beyond Hatsune Miku including Kagamine Len, Rin, and Megurine Luka. Duet tracks feature two vocaloids singing together while a new "Extreme" difficulty bridges the gap between standard hard mode and the original's highest challenge. The game maintains a fast paced beat driven format designed for mobile play. The inclusion of additional vocaloid performers and collaborative tracks expands the gameplay variety introduced in the first game. Released in 2012 for iOS the title retained strong appeal among existing Vocaloid fans with 120 tracks across multiple difficulties. The tighter control scheme and adjusted tile layout helped improve accessibility without sacrificing the frantic energy that defined the series.
