Monster Madness Grave Danger is a third person shooter that pits players against hordes of animated monsters in suburban settings. The game builds on an earlier title with updated mechanics and expanded content including 25 new challenges and 100 character accessories. Combat focuses on chaotic firefights using a mix of guns and creature abilities. Players can tackle single player campaigns or team up in four player co op. The split screen mode lets two people share a console while the online features connect players remotely. The game adds significant depth over its predecessor with revised controls and camera angles that improve combat flow. Player choice expands through customizable outfits and unlockable gear that alters character performance. While the core formula remains familiar the additional modes and multiplayer options extend replay value. The title later moved to mobile platforms but the PS3 version remains the most feature complete release.
