Mother Goose no Himitsu no Yakata is a visual novel following Erika Fleur a schoolgirl who stumbles upon a glowing book of nursery rhymes. Opening it transports her to a mansion where five men and a figure called Mother Goose claim she must pass exams to prove she remembers their stories. The game mixes dialogue driven scenes with quiz like challenges tied to classic rhymes. Progress hinges on choosing answers and conversation options that satisfy the mansion s eccentric residents. The game stands out for its playful take on children s folklore and character dynamics. Five distinct male inhabitants each represent different nursery rhyme figures creating varied interactions. A separate Blue Label title later added bonus content and expanded the story. With its academic twist on fairy tale themes and compact PSP design it carved a small but dedicated niche. The 2011 release remains notable for QuinRose s early work in blending education with visual novel storytelling.
The protagonist Erika Fleur wakes up one morning and notices that a book on her shelf is glowing brightly. The book was a collection of nursery rhymes called ‘Mother Goose’ and it was given to her by her grandmother when she was small, but Erika had forgotten all about it. Since its glowing, she opens it and suddenly finds herself in a mansion surrounded by five men who introduce themselves as the inhabitants of the book. They and the owner of the mansion, Mother Goose, thought that everyone forgot about them, so Erika has to take exams about nursery rhymes in order to return to her world.
