A brand, developer studio, founded by Art Move company. It used two names, logos at the same time. QuinRose for it's original IPs and QuinRose UnderGarden for IPs based on already existing stories. Studio closed with the bankruptcy of it's parent company Art Move in September 25th 2015. On June 6th 2019 during Otomate Party 2019 event in Japan, different company, Otomate, announced that it has acquired licence rights for QuinRose brand, renaming it to QuinRose reborn (for otomate) and hiring a few of it's original developers. At the same time two new titles, a continuation of the most popular of QuinRose game series Kuni no Alice, were announced. The two are スペードの国のアリス ~Wonderful White World~ (Spade no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful White World~ and スペードの国のアリス ~Wonderful Black World~ (Spade no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Black World~) for Nintendo Switch.
QuinRose was a Japanese developer and publisher that operated from 2005 until 2015, when its parent company Art Move went bankrupt. The studio produced fifty games on PlayPile, releasing them under the QuinRose name for original stories and using the QuinRose UnderGarden label for adaptations of existing tales. Their catalog is almost entirely focused on the visual novel genre with fifty entries in that category. They also made four adventure titles and a single role-playing game. The company worked primarily for handheld consoles during its active years. Forty-two of their games appeared on the PlayStation Portable, while nine were released for PC. Six titles came to the PlayStation Vita, five to the PlayStation 2, and two to the Nintendo Switch after the brand revival. A handful of releases targeted Android, iOS, or the Nintendo DS. Output volume changed significantly over time. The studio released eight games in the 2000s and forty during the 2010s. Only two titles appeared in the 2020s following a corporate acquisition. QuinRose ceased operations on September 25, 2015, due to financial failure. Ownership of the brand moved to Otomate in June 2019, which renamed the label QuinRose reborn and hired some original staff. This new team continued the popular Kuni no Alice series with Spade no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful White World in September 2021 and Spade no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Black World in August 2023. Other recent releases include Genji Koi Emaki from 2015 and a 12-ji no Kane to Cinderella pack from the same year. The data does not show specific rating scores for their games, so the quality of these entries cannot be judged numerically. The company produced a large volume of visual novels for portable devices before shutting down in 2015. Their legacy now continues under a different owner who has kept the brand active with new sequels to their most successful franchise.
