Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2: Ultimate Edition is a fast-paced platform fighter with a roster of 27+ characters from 20+ shows. Play as SpongeBob, Patrick, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or new additions like The Thundermans’ Max and Jimmy. The game leans into chaotic 2v2 and 4v4 battles, with each fighter having distinct moves and unlockable skins. The story mode follows SpongeBob navigating portals to save Patrick, but the real focus is the combat, think float zones to recover health, environmental hazards, and over-the-top finishing moves. The Ultimate Edition includes all base game content plus 4 new brawlers, bonus costumes, and every character’s second skin. The roster depth and accessibility set this apart. It balances arcade-style action with enough strategy to satisfy competitive players. Community feedback highlights the chaotic fun, though some note it leans heavier on nostalgia than innovation. With cross-platform play and short, punchy matches, it’s a solid pick for fans of the first game or anyone looking for a colorful, chaotic brawler.
SpongeBob and Patrick are blowing bubbles when a strange portal appears and pulls Patrick in. Another portal opens and a strange voice tells SpongeBob to enter it to save Patrick, prompting him to jump in. After passing through several different worlds, SpongeBob finds Patrick, who becomes enraged and attacks him. SpongeBob subdues Patrick, returning him to normal, and they are taken to a pocket dimension called the Timeless Stardial, where they meet the one who summoned SpongeBob, Clockwork. Clockwork explains that Vlad Plasmius has gained the power to mind control other beings, and now seeks to gain control of everyone from every universe. Clockwork grants the heroes a time medallion, which will allow him to rewind time should they fall in battle, and sends them to free more potential allies from Vlad's control.
