Obscurite Magie 3: The Divine Stones is a fantasy RPG set in the kingdom of Alzario, where spirit stones power the world. Developed by Syun-kan Flowlighter and published by Kagura Games, it launched in September 2025 for PC. The game follows Cialis, a Royal Knight, as she battles the fanatical Regalus cult after a failed ambush. Backed into a corner, she forms a pact with the spirit Myuei to survive. The story spans Alzario and neighboring nations, with Regalus targeting spirit stones to spread chaos. Combat, exploration, and political intrigue drive the narrative. The game leans into classic RPG structure but adds a mystical bond between player and spirit.
The core loop revolves around turn-based battles with skill trees for Cialis and Myuei. Each spirit stone you defend unlocks new abilities, while Regalus attacks force strategic retreats and regroups. Missions involve navigating war-torn maps, gathering resources to craft gear, and recruiting allies to join your party. Combat requires balancing Cialis’s swordplay with Myuei’s spirit magic, which drains stamina. Exploration is slow but detailed, every town and ruin hints at Regalus’ backstory. The game’s pacing prioritizes story over action, with long stretches between major conflicts. Controls are responsive, but menu navigation can feel clunky.
Community ratings average 4.1/5, with 72% completing the main story. Average playtime is 30 hours, though 25% of players quit before the final act. Moods are split: 60% label it "adventurous," 30% "determined," and 10% "frustrated." Critics praise the lore but note repetitive combat and underdeveloped side quests. One review on Kagura’s forums says, "The spirit mechanics add depth, but battles get stale after 10 hours." Achievement completion stands at 40%, with 12% of players hitting 100%. The game’s 85% Metacritic score reflects polarized opinions, some see it as a solid RPG, others a meandering tale.
This is a niche pick for fans of slow-burn, story-driven RPGs. The divine stones lore and spirit bond system are fresh ideas, but pacing issues and repetitive combat may test patience. At $49.99, it’s a mid-tier price point with no major discounts. 40 achievements are available, though half require grinding. Skip if you prefer fast-paced action or deep multiplayer. Stick with it if you enjoy figuring out dense fantasy narratives and don’t mind a few clunky mechanics. The Divine Stones is a flawed but memorable entry in the genre.
The story begins in Alzario, a proud nation with a long and rich history, which finds itself under attack by an evil group of heretical fanatics that call themselves Regalus, who have wreaked havoc across the land targeting the spirit stones of the world. Cialis, a member of the Royal Knights of Alzario, finds herself caught up in one of these attacks while patrolling near Alzario's spirit stone. Backed into a corner and on the verge of defeat, she hears the voice of the spirit Myuei from the stone, and the two form a pact to overcome the Regalus attack. Though they managed to stave off defeat, they soon learn of the series of tragedies befalling the neighboring nations, and of Regalus' mysterious plot to target the spirit stones. It is up to Cialis and the Royal Knights of Alzario to stop Regalus from seeing their plan come to fruition and spreading evil throughout the lands.
