Ork is a 1992 shooter-platformer where you play Ku-Kabul, a Legion officer proving his worth on the hostile planet Ixion. Armed with twin laser cannons and jet boosters, you leap between platforms, solve environmental puzzles, and clear waves of enemies. The action moves at arcade speed with parallax scrolling that adds depth to each level. Every test pushes your reflexes and problem solving to keep Ku-Kabul’s career alive. Developed by WJS Design and published by Psygnosis, Ork balances combat and clever mechanics in a single-player campaign. The Amiga and Atari ST/STE versions showcase technical flair for their era, with layered visuals and tight controls. While its 3-player co-op mention in the original summary appears mistaken, the solo challenges hold up as brutally fun. Released just before the 1993 new year, it’s a forgotten gem for fans of retro action hybrids.
