About

PD Ultraman Link is a puzzle game where players match colored blocks to clear lines and disrupt opponents. Blocks fall in pairs with two connection points, and linking three or more, any color, erases them. Clearing blocks sends garbage rows to the rival’s board, which they must double-clear to avoid defeat. Special moves like wiping all blocks of a single color or stripping garbage layers add tactical depth. Matches can be played in a story mode or head-to-head battles, with the goal of stacking blocks past the top line to eliminate the other player. The game supports split-screen multiplayer and offers 10 playable characters including Ultra Heroes and aliens. Released in 1996 for Sega Saturn, it blends puzzle mechanics with the Ultraman franchise’s action themes. Its fast-paced combos and direct competition set it apart from standard block-dropping games, though its mechanics may feel dated by modern standards. The Saturn version remains the only official release in the series.
