PulzAR puts you in charge of a laser network meant to shatter asteroids hurtling toward Earth. You arrange Reflectors Splitters and Color Filters on a grid to redirect and split laser beams until they hit targets. Each puzzle starts with an Arena card that sets the layout followed by up to five Play Cards that determine your tools. The goal is to chain reactions that break asteroids into harmless fragments before they reach the planet. The game stands out for how it uses the Vita’s touchscreen to let you physically place objects on a flat surface creating a tactile strategy layer. While similar laser puzzles existed before PulzAR’s approach to card-based grid building feels fresh. Players who enjoy methodical problem solving with a mix of planning and physics will find satisfaction here. Released in 2012 it remains a niche but clever example of the Vita’s potential.
