Puzzle Link is a fast-paced puzzle game where you shoot colored blocks to connect them and clear them from the screen. Blocks continuously fall from the top and pile up, if they reach the bottom, it's game over. Aim carefully: your shots create lines that link matching colors. When three or more are connected, they vanish. Three modes keep things varied. In Normal Mode, join two special blocks to unlock one of 50 collectible cards. Clear Mode tasks you with erasing specific block patterns. Battle Mode lets two players compete head-to-head via link cable, merging competitive spirit with the same core mechanics. The simplicity of the controls masks deeper strategy. Timing and pattern recognition matter as much as reflexes. Battle Mode is a standout for local multiplayer fun, though it’s limited to link cables. Released in 1998, it feels brisk and focused, with modes that balance short bursts of play and longer-term goals. Its mechanics haven’t aged a day, proving that tight puzzle design can outlast trends.
