This fighting game continues the Ranma ½ story with fast paced brawls and animated cutscenes. You play as Ranma or other cast members in matches that mix martial arts moves with the series' signature chaos. The Turbografx-16/PC Engine CD version adds spoken dialogue during pauses between fights. Each bout has simple controls but deep combo potential. The story mode follows key arcs from the manga with pixel art staging. A cult favorite among anime fans for its authentic character takes and early voice work. While not as technically advanced as later 90s fighters it holds up for nostalgia. The 1992 release date makes this a relic but fan communities still trade strategies online. Over 2000 hours of playtime logged by top players on the Japanese CD version. Best played with a second controller for local tag team battles.
