Renegade Ops is a third-person shooter where you lead a squad of armed vehicles against a megalomaniac trying to burn the world. Play solo or team up to four players online or locally via split-screen. Each mission tasks you with destroying enemy strongholds using tanks, planes, and other heavy machinery. The focus is on coordinated combat, you’ll switch between driving, shooting, and calling in airstrikes to break through Inferno’s defenses. Missions take place in varied locations from cities to jungles, with destruction that feels chaotic but rewarding. The game stands out for its flexible co-op options. Split-screen lets two players share a couch, while online modes support up to four. Vehicular combat feels weighty and varied, with each machine handling differently. Players often note the over-the-top action, buildings crumble, explosions chain together, and missions end with massive set-pieces. Though released in 2011, it holds up for fans of chaotic team-based shooters. The story is intentionally campy, with Inferno’s threats and General Bryant’s grumpy heroics adding to the overblown fun.

Storyline

It's the present day, or maybe Next Sunday AD. A power-hungry madman by the name of Inferno has firebombed defenseless Catalonia City- and promises to an assembly of world leaders that he will torch other cities if control is not ceded to him. The leaders want to negotiate. But one General Bryant believes that Inferno is not the sort of man to be negotiated with. The leaders shut Bryant down, so he decides to take matters into his own hands, tossing his medals onto a desk in disgust. Enter The Renegades: A team of four paramilitary specialists, each armed with a distinctive, heavily armed combat vehicle. Acting outside the bounds of international law, Bryant leads this team on a mission to stop Inferno's mad scheme and smash his military machine, one gratuitous explosion at a time.
