Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata: Blessing Flowers is a visual novel where you play an anime-obsessed student navigating school life and creative projects with two girls. The story follows Aki Tomoya, a part-time worker with no special talents, as he teams up with an artist and a writer to develop a game for Comiket. Dialogue and relationships shift based on choices you make, including what media you hand to characters in Otaku Mode. This feature lets you swap out books, games, and DVDs to tweak how heroines act and talk, adding a layer of meta customization to the dating sim formula. The game stands out for its self-aware humor and flexible roleplay options. Live 2D animation gives characters subtle, lifelike motions while keeping their 2D designs crisp. With three distinct heroines and branching routes, it offers around 30 hours of content. While not as ambitious as 5pb’s Steins;Gate, it lands solidly in the mid-80s range on Visual Novel databases for its charm and interactive depth. The PlayStation Vita port keeps it accessible for handheld fans.
Aki Tomoya is a male otaku who works part-time to earn money to buy anime. One day during spring vacation, he meets a beautiful girl. A month later, he finds out that the girl is his classmate, Megumi, who is hardly noticed by the other classmates. Tomoya, who also has no special skills or abilities, goes to Sawamura Spencer Eriri, a well-known member of the Art Club, to provide the art for a game the club is developing, and to Kasumigoaka Utaha to write the game scenario. The three subsequently form Blessing Software, which they plan to sell at the next Comiket.
