Scooby Doo's Maze Chase is a puzzle game where you steer Scooby through mazes to trap ghosts while evading a skull chaser. Your goal is to catch three ghosts before time expires, making the skull vanish and dropping a submarine sandwich. Eating the sandwich gives a magic bone you can place to temporarily freeze the skull. Getting caught by the skull reduces difficulty but keeps the challenge intact. Each of the ten levels shifts the balance between speed and strategy. The game stands out for its adjustable difficulty and optional maze-building feature with the Intellivision keyboard add-on. Released in 1983, it runs on Intellivision and supports solo or multiplayer action. While not a high-score leader, its blend of obstacle dodging and ghost hunting offers a tight loop of planning and reaction.
