Serafina and the Key to the Egg is an oldschool turn-based RPG where you play a woman from a hidden village chasing a stolen relic. The story follows Serafina as she travels to Mirado, a bustling city where she must build reputation and wealth to enter a competitive auction. Gameplay mixes strategic battles with resource management as you navigate dungeons, side quests, and dialogue choices that shape her journey. The core mechanic revolves around upgrading gear and skills to face increasingly tough foes while figuring out the mystery of the Oval Key. What sets it apart is its deliberate pacing and retro-inspired art style. Combat emphasizes positioning and elemental weaknesses without overwhelming complexity. Player reviews note the satisfying progression and charming world design, though some find the early-game grind slow. With 20+ hours of content and branching conversations, it’s a modest but polished entry for fans of methodical RPGs.
After receiving a challenge which could determine the future of her village, if not the whole world, Serafina sets out for the city of Mirado. There she will have to do whatever it takes to gain the prestige, money, and connections necessary to participate in the town's famous auction and reacquire her family's long-lost treasure. The Key to the Egg is a treasure of great power. It was once in the care of Serafina's secluded village, but it was stolen long before she was even born. One day, the elder receives a shocking letter from Ange, Serafina's rival for the title of True Maiden: She claims to have found their lost treasure! The elder has little choice but to send Serafina off to try and get it back.
